Juneau and the Mendenhall Glacier

In the morning in Juneau we flew by helicopter to the Mendenhall Glacier and spent a happy half hour admiring its size and features.

Three-Dimensional Crevice

While walking over the glacier we had to step over the water filled crevices. The pairs of photos below allow you to get the 3-D effect of gazing into a deep crevice in the ice. The top pair work if you cross your eyes; the lower pair work if you gaze through the two pictures to a distant point. In either case the images fuse to form a single 3-D image - you can almost "feel" the crunchy ice surface. For more information or to practice 3-D viewing, visit the Stereo Art website.

Anthea's Birthday.

In the evening we celebrated Anthea's Birthday and entertained the Adairs, Gerharts, and Poinsettes in our room and then went down to dinner in the main dining room.
