Hirondelle:

Besançon to Osselle Dole St. Jean Fragnes St. Legier

Starting at Besançon

In July we spent a week on the Hirondelle with the Bechers, the Cunninghams, and the Cushmans. We were met in Dijon by Emma, our tour guide for the week, who collected the Bechers and Cunninghmas from Dijon Station and drove us all to the Hirondelle which was moored in Basançon.

The first day we moved to Osselle, passing through a tunnel cut through the hill under the magnificent Citadel.

Monday Night in Osselle

From Osselle we drove back to visit the Citadel above Besançon, now converted to a zoo but still an extraordinary monument in itself.
