Italy 2004 a Week in Sicily
Photos of a week in Sicily with the Cunninghams, Cushmans and Parkins, including some photos with the Hackworths.
We stayed in a house called, appropriately enough, the Orange Garden, in Fiumefreddo. The house overlooked the ocean In the distance(!) and was on the lower slopes of Mount Etna. At night we could see red hot lava flowing down the mountain. We went up Mount Etna and handled hot lava and saw hot steam venting out of a recent crater.
Trips to Taormina, Syracuse, and Agrigento.
During the week we made several excursions and saw the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and the Greek Theater in Syracuse. We also enjoyed taking the cable car up to Taormina where we met with the Hackworths in their magnificent hotel.
